The Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center (EASC) was recently recognized by the U.S. News and World Report for its excellence in ophthalmology surgeries.
U.S. News and World Report awarded the EASC as a high performer in ophthalmology care, and the EASC was recognized as one of the top three surgery centers for ophthalmology in Illinois.
U.S. News and World Report partnered with analytics healthcare firm CareJourney, which analyzed each ambulatory surgery center’s risk-adjusted outcomes in Medicare patients. Fewer than 15 percent of evaluated facilities earned a “High Performer” rating.
Jean Dunaway, EASC administrator, said she is honored that the EASC received this high recognition from the U.S. News and World Report. “This rank from the U.S. News and World Report lets our community know that they can rely on us,” she said. “We always strive to provide excellent, quality care, and this reinforces our staff’s mission.”
